Foundation Estate Plan

Richard H. Gregory III
Providence, Rhode Island
Estate Planning Lawyer

Our planning progression takes clients through the each step needed to put their Foundation Estate Plan in place.

Complimentary Initial Consultation

We offer a complimentary consultation. As a first step, prospective clients complete a Personal Information Questionnaire, which we review before the meeting. At the meeting we ask about their goals and concerns, we explain how we work with clients and we answer all questions, including how we charge for our estate planning services. If prospective clients want to work with us, and if we can provide a valuable service in their situation, we schedule a meeting at which we will design a plan that meets their needs.

Design Meeting

At the design meeting guide prospective clients through the process of designing a plan that is tailor-made for their situation. We consider alternatives such as wills, irrevocable trusts, revocable living trusts, health care powers of attorney, proxies and advance health care directives (sometimes referred to as "living wills"), financial powers of attorney, and other instruments. At the close of the meeting we are able to quote a fee that includes all of the legal services necessary to put their plan in place. If they do not wish to proceed, we will charge only for our services in connection with the design meeting.

Documents Meeting

After the design meeting, we prepare all of the documents necessary to carry out our clients' goals and objectives. At the Documents Meeting, we review and explain each document and answer every question our clients may have before they execute them.

Delivery and Funding Meeting

After all documents are executed, we review, check and organize them in a binder for safe-keeping. We then meet again with our clients to deliver their documents and to counsel them in developing a funding plan which will align their assets and properties with their estate planning documents.

Getting started with estate planning is easy. Contact us by telephone (401-331-5050) or email to schedule a complimentary consultation.
