Services Helpful to Seniors

Serving Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts

We offer the following services to our clients who want to simplify their lives by letting others take care of day-to-day tasks so that they can focus on what is more important, meaningful and enjoyable.

Mail Review Service

An essential component of our services is a careful mail review for at least 6 months. Our clients execute a mail forwarding order with the post office. Under the terms of the order, all first and second class mail is delivered directly to our offices.

Account Management Service

Our clients cherish their financial independence. They want to have funds available for purchases as and when they want to make them, without having to ask anyone else for permission. At the same time, our clients also realize that senior citizens are targets of fraudulent schemes and financial chicanery of all kinds. Our clients realize that they are at increased risk, and they want to protect themselves from loss.

We simplify and safeguard our clients' financial affairs by helping them manage their bank and other financial accounts.

Bill Payer Service

We pay all legitimate bills and invoices on a timely basis. We make sure that nothing slips though the cracks.

Claim Review Service

Anyone who has looked at benefit notices and billings for medical services knows how difficult it can be to make sense of the material. We provide claims analysis as needed and represent our clients regarding medical and other claims.

Tax Service

Taxes are a special worry. Our clients are anxious to file true, correct and complete income tax returns. They worry about misplacing a 1099 form or forgetting to pay their estimated taxes on time. We take the worry out of the tax compliance process.

Legal Review

Someone once defined "estate planning" as "planning for myself and my care, as long as I need it, and then giving what I have to whom I want, when I want and the way I want, while saving every last dollar of taxes, costs and administrative expenses possible."

We have experience in helping our clients plan for the future, and we are happy to review a client's planning, ask questions and offer suggestions.

Care Management Service

We handle many of the burdensome tasks of daily living. But many situations arise that we cannot handle. For situations that are outside our area of competence we use the services of professional care managers who can arrange for visits to doctors, home care services and whatever else a client may need.

Visits

We like our clients (at least we like most of them, most of the time)! If a client wants us to visit from time to time, we can arrange to do so. And we will visit each client on our on or near his or her birthday — with a cake and candles.

Getting Started

Getting started is easy. Our client needs to execute documents that authorize us to handle his or her affairs, and we explain how we charge for our services.

Our services are not cheap, but we believe the cost is modest in relation to the value we provide. Getting organized and staying organized provides a sense of accomplishment and relieves a great deal of stress. And we have found that in the long run it is much less expensive to keep a situation together than to straighten it out after it has come apart at the seams.A familiar nursery rhyme has something to teach us here: better to help Humpty Dumpty keep his seat on the wall than to try to put him back together again after a great fall.

We invite you to contact us by telephone (401-331-5050) or e-mail to schedule a complimentary consultation.
